It's time for an update on Hive as I haven't had an active post for weeks now. I started a bigger update post as mostly my health adventure is what's occupying me and it deserves full attention and a good write-up, but the post stagnated after the first three paragraphs and is already in draft for a week now.
I just started writing a similar post in Dutch for friends and family and oh my god had I forgotten how easy it is to write in your mother tongue!
I've been writing on Steem/Hive for such a long time, and it's getting easier and easier every time I do, but when I write about a 1000 words in 15 minutes because I write in Dutch I really understand how you native English writers have it easy on this platform. The post will be a post without deadline, I just want to write it all down and cut it up in chapters whenever I'm done and share it with friends and family who might've missed me for the past few years while I was struggling to find ways to connect to the world.
Not close family and friends of course, they know how I've struggled, but those a little further apart.
Anyway.
It at least means I'm still writing, it just doesn't end up on Hive.
The other big writing project is a report I'm writing for teachers in secondary education that will have to deal with mostly distance/online/blended education from the new year on, something they're not used to, so I'm doing a literature search in the scientific databases to find what we know about blended/hybrid learnign and how they can prepare for the new year.
It's fun but doesn't leave much writing room for other, shorter stuff.
Although, to be honest, this post took me about ten minutes to write, so maybe I'm underestimating what's possible :-)
I'm trying to be a little more communicative about my fiber art adventures on Instagram, so if you want to follow along just subscribe to that 'channel' :-) It's not content I'd personally share on Hive either, but maybe I should think about a monthly summary post or something like that.
What do you think?
And oh, just to close off with a random thought... What a change would it be if shorter/shit posts would be more accepted on Hive. I wouldn't have felt like I had to ignore Hive for weeks, instead would've posted a few more random updates.
Could be in my head of course and maybe I should've just done so.
Still learning.
Cheers. Hope you enjoyed my rambling post that really doesn't say that much. I'm writing. A LOT. I promise. Just need to find ways to get back on Hive again. Some communities that do more random posting I'm missing out on maybe?
Picture was taken yesterday - such a Dutch thing to put whole sceneries like this in the window - but very vintage ones like these are really only done by elderly people from a certain generation so I'll see these less and less and less - worth photographing I thought.
