The Steem(it) reality is changing quickly. Yesterday I already mentioned the Top 20 Witnesses now being fully controlled by sock puppets or 'community' witnesses running 0.22.5. This was only hours after Steemit decided to start removing Hive posts from their frontend.
What's the news today you might wonder?
Well, both people and projects like @tarazkp, @steemitworldmap, @andrarch (lol, his post was already 8 days old :D), @lordbutterfly, @roelandp, @hiveio, @probit, @ionomy and @lukestokes were downvoted at the full 100% with 'Steemit' stake worth $369.49 just a few hours ago.
If Steemit stake starts voting (both up or down) the whole reward pool will have to severely rebalance as all balance and thus rewards and payouts have for years been based upon that stake not influencing the reward pool.
Another interesting fact?
During the same downvote round the Steemit account started subscribing to two Hive (lol) communities: DTube and the Steem CN community.
Does this hint at a possible start of 'curating' by the Steemit account overall?
I guess refreshing steemd.com and steemworld.org for the next few days and weeks will tell us.
I'm equally horrified and amused.
