Last Saturday I decided to share my birthday celebration with my followers on Steemit: whoever commented on my post would have a chance of winning 1 out of 15 @steembasicincome shares!

So, today I put in the names of the people who commented - I checked with @ginabot if I overlooked names who looked like 'first time commenters' to me, but I was surprized to see they actually did comment before! Shows me I have more commenters than I thought, which makes me happy!
First winner
The first name I was happy to give a share in the @steembasicincome project was @irreverent-dan! We just recently met on Steemit and he's a beer loving photographer who deserves a follow!
I removed his name from the wheel, and turned it 14 more times, writing down the names if they got picked and removing those who won from the next turn.

What's next
Since I value commenting on Steemit a lot I might think of more ways to 'reward' or engage with the community by rewarding comments even more.
I truly love the @steembasicincome experiment, and you can look at my wallet to see how it works. Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome and write down the name of the person you want to sponsor in the memo. Don't forget to precede the name with the @-symbol or it won't work! Both you and the person you sponsor will get upvotes from that moment on - plus the shares stack! So you can basically build your stake in the @steembasicincome endlessly, in the meanwhile sponsoring and supporting other Steemians as well :-)
