[The staircase towards the second level of the building I live in.]
I walk this little 'block' around my house a few times a week. You'd say there's no surprizes to be found if you have seen a place so many times. And maybe there isn't.
But the little lens I've been experimenting with was in my mind this morning when I decided to go enjoy the amazing weather. Basically the lens was my reason to start that walk. If I'm being honest: my main reason for walking is taking pictures. It always has been.
I used to walk a lot before walking became a bit more difficult for me. I have thousands of photographs from those walks. Quick iPhone shots I took when the sun would provide some amazing dramatic photo opportunities alongside the river I would cross.
Now I walk less, and I haven't taken many shots around my neighbourhood, yet. But today I took two architectural shots that pretty much are from two aspects of the building I know so well. I'm going to start building on these two shots and see if I can create a well-balanced series of this specific 'slice of home'.
[The corner of the building. A seagull was just landing on the roof, providing me with a nice irregularity in the shot.]
