Short updates from a short Dutch trip #6

Anyone else love bridges as much as I do?

There were two significant bridges crossing over this river - the other side of the river still pretty green and 'empty', but also showing signs of new housing projects.

There's not a lot of empty space in The Netherlands, sometimes snarkily called a city state where everything is seen as a potential for new expansions of cities and villages, and not enough will to keep our natural beauty in tact.

I love the city, and especially in the part of the country where I live nature is hard to find, but in the East, from where I'm posting this picture, there's still natural beauty left to find. And when you find it it's lovely and worth a visit.

The bridges were leading to lovely landscapes and even some hills - a rare find in The Netherlands. I almost started longing for living here and crossing those bridges and find nature close by.

Then, of course, I think about home and know I would live so much further from friends and family - not sure if it's worth that.

But little seeds have been planted in my head. At least this city has about the same amount of bridges as my hometown, I wouldn't want to live without water and bridges close by.
