East of Nijmegen City a lot of natural beauty exists - amongst others a green patch of land called the 'Ooijpolder', a lovely space to explore by bike.
Renting e-bikes for fun, but also a bit of necessity: as a Dutch person I'm not used to bicycling anything but flat lands but this part of the country actually has some rare Dutch hills!
To make it easier on, mostly, my 'bad foot' I used the fancy Yamaha motor of my bike a lot - whenever the flat land changed into something that was registered as a slope I got a little push from the motor - it was actually a lot of fun to bicycle this way.
Lots of sights among the way but thanks to the relatively high speed we were bicycling with I didn't want to stop too much... I'll definitely have to return to this place though with a decent camera and a lot of time to stop on the way.
This shot was taken from a small dike, looking towards a small town, with recognizable orange rooftops and a little church tower to complete the picture.
