I noticed thinking about the Hive community while walking through Nijmegen, one of the older Dutch cities on the East of the country. I am in a way 'used' to seeing these centuries old buildings scattered throughout my city trips in The Netherlands, but know I can share them with an international community always helps me focus on seeing how beautiful things are.
Don't expect intellectual posts with historical facts and such for the next week, I just want to share a snapshot here and there :-)
Currently doing a chill-day in a hotel, after a full day of walking yesterday, planning for the afternoon (a strong cup of brewed coffee at a local coffee roaster is one of the plans!), planning for some bicycling through nature tomorrow.
It's basically the first trip I am making since the pandemic started - I don't even see it as missed time, as I replied to @revisesociology in the past hour or so: I learned I have a good home and am fine living my live small. But seeing something new and wandering and wondering again... It's nice too.
Hope you'll enjoy a few small updates in the coming days.
