That one horse seemed to look at me: what are you doing here? - I had no idea. It was just a random narrow road that was a fork of another random narrow road that was an extension of a very random loop of narrow road we drove that day. And then I saw a field full of horses.
I only had a wide-angle lens on my camera that moment. But I would have loved to capture his or her expression. His expression of wonder. This place without people, most of the time. But there she was. That other creature. What did she hold in front of her eyes? Why didn't she eat grass, like the rest of 'us'?
I took a picture, got back in the car.
