It's one of those moments your breath stops because in the corner of your eye you noticed a 'one-in-a-lifetime' shot. As the famous street photographer Henri-Cartier Bresson calls it: the decisive moment, that one moment you click the shutter of your camera to immortalize it.
But I was in a driving car. And it was one of those nasty little narrow Scottish roads.
No way we were able to stop in the next second. So we drove on for what I felt was a lifetime. In fact it was probably 20 seconds in which I explained to my boyfriend, the driver, what I saw and that I had to take that picture.
He somehow found a way to park the car and I walked back to find my 'horse and car'. The horse seemed to be involved in an intimate dance with 'his car' and hug and stroke it with its magnificent head.
[Of course for the first 10 minutes or so he decided to turn his back on me. I felt like an intruder for pointing my camera on the horse. Well, I was. On roads like these, I would be surprised if 5 cars pass by on a regular day.]
