On my way back home from London to Bruxelles to Rotterdam I shot one more of my through dirty train windows series, which according to the blockchain has entered its 28th publication, while the last one was posted already 7 months ago. The shot is far from perfect, but that's sort of the whole point of the series. If you drive in a train, and in this case it was even a high-speed train with speeds of more than 300 km/h!, you see nothing clearly.

Everything is blurred. Everything moves. Everything is 'filtered' through light and reflections and, well, dirty train windows. Everything is just an impression and the picture shows probably more than you could have registered with the human eye, while at the same time showing less because there is no real context surrounding the snap.

Some sunlights breaking through clouds with black silhouettes (often trees) are a true theme in these series and might be the way I will, finally, after two more years of train traveling, select the pictures of my book made of this subject.

@karinxxl convinced me my next train trip should be through Switzerland, the problem is, the windows of that epic panorama train looked way too clean.

Linking all previous photographs in these series takes up too much space below my posts. Instead I've linked all the photographs up until #20 in the post where I also give a little peak into the making of a photo book on the series: 'The making of a photo book #1'.
