The longest night is just behind us, Christmas is coming, then a New Year is opening up. Many of us have some extra days 'off', many of us have less hours of light in the day, feeling like bears preparing for a winter sleep. (All the while others are speaking of summery days and going to the beach - ahhh!)
I was wondering how many of you are reflecting on the past year and on the year ahead. I'm not really good at looking ahead and Steem has been the first project I've dedicated so much time to for so long. I'm bored easily and live day by day, meaning when I'm doing a thing one day, the next I can have it abandoned easily.
Still, with Steem I feel I'm here for as far as I can see, and it's good for me to practice taming my endless restlessness. Steem might work for me because everything else I'm doing can come be brought here, so I can have my squirrel attention in all other parts of life while keeping Steem a constant.
Some years there's more to reflect on than others, I've had years where the sound of the New Year literally broke me in tears because I could finally leave one behind, and others where I didn't know if I could even collect a theme from the year that I moved away from.
2018 was definitely the year of Steem and SteemFest to me - a year full of highlights and learning. How would you define your 2018?
