Not owning a car, I don't often drive Dutch roads. Road trips are mostly reserved for holidays. In The Netherlands public transport is well arranged and my family and friends live either close by or in cities that are connected through trains, so I've always felt the need for a car is almost non-existent.
Oh, and I love trains.
But recently we've found ourselves hiring a car for trips more often: the fact walking became more difficult for me has even made me start taking driver's lessons! (Yes, before I actually planned to go license free through life!)
Anyway, Dutch road trips are lovely, since I literally see places I wouldn't see otherwise, and as my 'core follower base' must have realised after seeing many of my pictures: I love raindrops on windows. And that's an almost 100% guarantee while driving the Netherlands, so: happy shooting for me!
[Of course, once I actually have my license I won't be able to shoot. If anyone is wondering why it's taken me long to get my license: this might be the real reason ;-)]
Do you have a driver's license and car? If yes, because it's necessary or because you like driving a car?
