[PHOTO] Abandoned Shit - Overgrowth - what abandoned places do YOU know in Europe?

How do objects look like when nature takes over? Plants seem to be destined to take over whenever they can. Nature seems to always win. I have no idea how long this church in Scotland has been left alone by humans, but look: nature knows it can do whatever and is almost finished eating up the whole facade of this church!

This is one of those objects I can come back to in maybe 5 years and knowing how fast these climbers can grow I imagine the stones that are still visible now will have been swallowed whole.

Gorgeous.

A thousand times thanks to @customnature who makes me go back to my photo archives to find new treasures among them! I've posted pictures of this graveyard before, and decided to edit this picture so the amazing plant life would get all the deserved attention! :-) For those who don't know: @customnature has a weekly 'Abandoned Shit' contest, and this week's theme is 'Overgrowth'. Enter and win! Photography skills not required, just an eye for what is both awesome and abandoned.

I'm handing out 100% upvotes in the comments to those who have tips on abandoned objects in Europe! The Netherlands are 'the best' at cleaning up stuff, so that leaves me without a lot of subjects to photograph. But I'm open for some roadtripping through Europe and start taking new 'Abandoned Shit' pictures :-)
