Ordinary streets | Extraordinary moments | #1 (new series)

I haven't lived here. And of course I didn't like it when my host in Brooklyn showed me her kitchen, opened her drawers, and I saw a lot of cockroaches walking around.

She just grabbed her vacuum cleaner and 'got rid of them'.

I didn't dare open that drawer for 3 full weeks.

But despite not knowing everything about the city and despite those horrible beasts, New York City is definitely my happy place. Here I'm sitting on a boardwalk in Queens, breathing in the New York air, looking over the water, just observing the way people walk and enjoy running alongside the river.

The sun is going down, the lights of the city get emphasized because the buildings are turning black, and a random person decides to enjoy riding his bike alongside the river.

A perfect moment for a shot of my moment of happiness.

A perfect picture for my new 'Ordinary streets | Extraordinary moments' series, in which I'll share more of my street photography.
