Like last week I had another nice Curation Streak of 6 successful nominations in 6 nomination days :-) I had some pretty interesting posts as well, like one about the Bryansk Mammoth Festival, and about the killing of a tiger that made people start protesting because the reasoning behind the killing might not have been totally fair. A great post about minimal living is in there too, and when we add the post about Art Nouveau and the disappearing of birds I can totally declare the past week as a pretty diverse week for Curating for @ocd!
I hope you enjoy some of the posts - and if not there's always more to find on the @ocd account - my colleagues are curating daily as well!
Cheers!

Ever heard of the Bryansk Mammoth Festival? No? Me neither. It takes place every year on a site that still digs up mammoth bones regularly. You can take lessons and learn and feel the history while going to this festival, that has hints of the 70s 'hippy' years. It promotes several things like a sober, healthy and positive lifestyle and there's no smoking, alcohol or drugs allowed on the festival terrain. The pictures in the post made by @yurche really give a good impression of how it all looks - maybe we should all visit next year?

In an incredible well-researched and referenced post designer and artist @leysa explores Visual Communication through an analysis of Art Nouveau. She uses Art Nouveau in her own visual work and after reading this post and enjoying all the illustrations that come with it I can truly understand why!

Today I learned oil paint on canvas takes weeks to dry! So although this artwork on canvas by @silviabeneforti seems 'finished', it actually takes quite a while before it's definitely 'done'. Silvia purposely not to chose a name for the figure in the painting so everyone can decide for themselves what they prefer.

Meet Avni, a tigress that was sentenced to death in India for killing 13 humans - but was that her fault? Or did she protect the 10 cubs she was feeding? Autopsy showed she didn't kill any humans when she didn't have food for a week - so who was wrong here? The tigress or the humans disturbing her? Interesting insight from @mintymile's post in a killing of an animal that might have had political or economical reasons instead of the reasons that were claimed.

@futurefood is all about a minimalist lifestyle and outsourcing decisions we all make in life - with the financial aspect of the time it takes to make these decisions in mind! There's a fun video on top of this post that explains how a bald head helps him explain his way of living - both food and clothes are now outsourced by @futurefood so he spends less time worrying about choosing what to eat and wear.

After walking through the park and noticing the great blue heron colony left, the bald eagle's nest is empty and the eagles moved on to greener pastures, user @keithboone starts to wonder 'what if all the birds left town'? Shooting birds regularly this time he had to settle for a seagull in flight, and and a crow, and even a surprise non-feathered animal at the end of his post.
