From Game of Thrones to the mourning of a beloved cat... A week of curating at @ocd means discovering new content and making sure some unseen pearls get a little bit of extra recognition. Since we focus on the newest users we can give a serious bump in rewards on each post, and as we all remember: that first time you earn 'some real STEEM' it makes you happier than happy. At least, it did for me when I got my first 30$ upvote instead of the 1-2$ I made until then.
My week starts slow but I'm back to curating tomorrow. Can't wait to see what I'll find! With the markets 'moving' (yes, that means both up and down) again I believe interest in crypto and therefore Steem will come back. I'm looking forward to new users signing up trying to find their way... Are you already joining the latest @steemonboarding contest?! 12000 STEEM in prizes for the Steemians that sign up the most new users within their communities!
See ya next week!
Curated posts from 12-18th of April
One of the most loved tv shows of the last decennium is coming to an end, and all of us fans are feeling it! Still quite a few of our favourite characters are left, leaving us both excited and disappointed each episode since we want some stuff to happen that doesn't, and vice versa. Steemian @abelardobravoh is a fan too, and is writing down thoughts about this weeks episode. Of course a big spoiler alert on this post, but if you want to discuss some things that happened last episode this is the place to go!

The Wednesday Walks are always a pleasure to watch. Even if you're not a big time traveler, via these posts you can see the little side streets all across the world that are easily overlooked! Pictures of places that are rarely highlighted in travel books - but they are on Steem. Like this one, a modest walk around the Old Town in Beer Sheva, with an interesting building and jugs on the walls of the houses. Take a look for yourself and enjoy this walk with @tali72 from the comfort of a chair or your couch!

The love we feel for our cats can go really deep, as shown in this post by @joanna.ma13. Max passed away about a year ago, and today she takes the time to remember him and his habits and the friendship with her daughter. Max must have been a pretty awesome cat, as in one of the pictures in the post you see him help an IKEA closet!

Steemian @galca shows us how a walk in your own city at the right time of the day can be absolutely rewarding! Warm sun shines on colourful buildings between lush green vegetation, and from the photos I guess it had just rained. Personally this is my favourite time to take photos and I enjoyed these photos with spring flowers added to the mix a lot. I can almost smell the grass with fresh rain on it...
