It's summer. And a hot one. People are huffing and puffing, on Discord I hear fellow Steemians, especially from the UK, complaining about the heat. Here in the Netherlands local news sites warn about being a bit careful with using water. Plants dry out. A neighbour threw his cigarette in a plant setting the whole bush on fire.
It's those moments where rain doesn't seem like such a bad thing at all. I love rain. It makes me appreciate being in my house. It gives me an excuse to throw a blanket over my body and curl up under it. If I walk outside after the rain things smell nice. The smell of rain, it's a real thing.
I love the puddles rain leaves behind after it has left. The reflections, especially with some breaking through sun right after the shower, are a photographers candy shop. Kneel a bit and you can see the whole world upside-down.
I might just jump up and down a bit from excitement when rain comes this summer.
