Photography is anticipation. I saw the bird fly over the roof of the church. When I first saw it, it was a tiny dot in the sky that did not have a recognizable shape, yet, somewhere on the left of the church tower. I knew if I waited and the bird would fly a certain route I would be able to capture it bigger, better positioned, recognizable, and would add some interest to the otherwise very plain and grey sky.
I waited until it was in perfect alignment with the top of the church. I succeeded. Well no, I actually didn't. Because the bird is not aligned perfectly with the church tower roof top.
I could have photoshopped the bird just that tiny bit to the right, but I don't like this kind of cheating.
I just need to try again, another time.
