I don't know why I have been so lucky, but thus far three (!) Steemians have asked me for a meet-up - and all three of them had never before met another Steemian! So somehow they all trusted me enough to ask that scary question 'do you want to mee-up with me, maybe?'
And of course I said YES!

Honestly, there's nothing more fun and energizing than meeting people who are involved in STEEM, because, as wel all know, it's quite the challenge to talk with people about STEEM who are not on STEEM.
So, meeting up with fellow Steemians is like meeting an old friend that FINALLY understands what you are talking about and chatting lasts for hours... Even when it's the first time you talk to each other.
Eating Lebanese food and an Iranian waitress
@brittandjosie and I met for lunch in front of the still 'new' Markthal in Rotterdam, where I had found a nice Lebanese restaurant. Some awesome Mezzes and very tasty chicken and meat filled wraps were delivered at our table, and the waitress was very lovely and clearly didn't speak Dutch very well so we had a few minor miscommunications but she made it all up with her lovely smile and huuuuuge eyelashes.
We chatted for 3 hours about all things STEEM and for those who are still in doubt: @brittandjosie is a very active and passionate Steemian, involved in some cool communities like @steemitmamas and @pifc - now I don't have an 'excuse' to enter @steemitmamas, but @pifc sounds like a very active and involved group that I will look into the coming days and weeks :-)
What I suspected but never knew for sure is she is friends with @s3rg3 (one of the @blockbrothers, the witnesses who amongst others give us the Steemify app!) and he is the one who got her on Steem. Although she at first believed 'blogging was not for her' she is now a very very active content producer with her '4 o'clocky' as her daily post category which is her way to make sure she posts at least daily.
She's also very active in @abh12345's Engagement League leaving comments all over the place. Before I had ever seen her blog I had seen her comments all over the place! And she does all in between a very busy life with a hectic job and kids - kudos!
Now, her idea when signing up was that she would try this 'Steem thing' for a year and then decide to go for another year, or quit, but let me tell you: my impression is she's not going anywhere! She's having too much fun :D
While chatting and chatting we suddenly got two cups of tea delivered to our table. The lovely big eyelashed waitress commented 'because she had misunderstood us before and you two are having so much fun chatting!'
Clearly it was visible from a distance how much fun we had and how thirsty that must have made us...
Thanks @brittandjosie for the honour of choosing me to be your first Steemian meet-up, and I'm sure we'll meet again!
