From my current temporary appartment I can see a pretty mountain range which we decided to explore a bit today. As my feet prevent me from walking much, we decided to take the local light rail up the mountain towards a small town near a gletsjer lake. A train ride of about 30 kms taking about an hour: just to give you an idea of the climb this train had to do :-)
At some point we were kicked off the train to switch towards a bus: apparently the train wouldn’t be able to make the last two stops, so instead we got to enjoy the mountains from the road as a nice bonus.
Once we arrived in the town we enjoyed a warm and hearty lunch with an incredible view: the mountain peak we could see from our chairs in the restaurant went completely invisible when mist started to appear, moving rather quickly across the lake.
I didn’t worry at all, as the weather predicted mist all day, and I got to see more than I expected.
Tomorrow will be some more train traveling, about an hour this time, and a resting day for my feet. This country is too gorgeous not to explore, both nature and cities, so I will have to really work hard not to go outside for a day.
Wish me luck :-)
