I noticed a few things the past few weeks in my Steem Feed:

• The feed is empty-ish
• The feed is filled with content I don't engage with

The latter has mostly to do with the content being 1) video content (I don't have patience for videos as I can't skim them to check if they are actually worthy of my time beforehand), 2) 'Shit' posts (I'm not really interested in your lunch, sorry! I don't have any objection against unabusive shit posting in general though), or 3) filled with repetitious content (statistics, price predictions).

Sometimes I follow a person that I really like, but still their content doesn't invite me to support or engage with - Sometimes I engage with content just because I've met that person and I feel a deep friendship with them and I really don't care what they write about. It doesn't always make sense so if you see an unfollow coming in the next few days don't take it personally: we might meet again in one of the future Communities (I know I'm already planning which ones I want to set up! :D)! I 100% believe the implementation of Communities will change the way we experience Steem and even which people we (re)engage with.

But until then... I really want my upvote to go to people I think can make an impact on Steem by simply being cool people and actively engaging, as that certainly is what communities will be about.

New people to follow?

I want to fill my feed with new people that I hope to be:

• Community players - they don't just share content, but they also actively engage with other peoples content
• Creative - artists or otherwise creative people and especially those that are good at a certain craft I'd love to have more of in my feed
• Good writers - I most of all want 'readable' content, a bit of formatting is appreciated

Plus...

I love content that is personal, so if a good photographer or traveler only shares content like they are writing for 500px.com or Instagram I'm probably not interested. A personal 'way of looking' to life, or health, or even sharp observations on Steem are a definitely plus.
