It's always a bit harder to start writing when you haven't written for a long long while. Last posts from me on here were of @hivefest - 2022, not even of this year's one in 2023!
When the announcements of the Mexico Edition of @hivefest were announced I already knew I would miss out on something fantastic - the (South/North) American community had been waiting for a while to have a true Fest on 'their side of the globe' and I was happy to know it was going to happen. At the same time I was preparing for a huge exam and had family holidays planned exactly on the date HiveFest started, so I had to miss out!
Sad.
Then the deadline of the test came closer. @gtg sent me a message about a meet-up in Kraków for those that were having FOMO for not begin in Mexico at HiveFest. And then I managed to 100% ignore him! Sorry Gandalf! I would have loved to drink a beer or two in Kraków.
I also missed out on several @coldbeetrootsoup and @detlev meet-ups, and was happy and sad (I wanted to have joined!) to see a meet-up happening between @bil.prag and @fotostef and @traisto - I managed to mostly ignore those posts too even though my name was mentioned here or there.
Damn. Have I Been that busy?
I guess so, at least in my mind. But yeah, no, it was really that busy.
This pas year was a snowball of emotions and work. My study that I had started in 2020 got several accreditations added to them in 2022 which meant in hindsight all students had to make up for 'extra work' as these extra credits hadn't been a part of the study before all those accreditations were applied. So in 1 year I had to do 3 years worth of 'missed work' which meant about 500 hours of extra (!) work next to the normal study load.
It basically meant all of 2023 has been full focus on ploughing through all that extra work.
But - it also means the Diploma I will get is an extra cool and valuable one.
So where am I in my study journey? I have now started the fourth year. When I started in 2020 there were only 3 years, haha. So this is next to the extra work also an extra year. But it will protect me from all kinds of extra regulations that are being put up for people calling themselves a 'therapist', I will be future-proof after this year.
I've also started a short traineeship with a therapist who will be able to provide me with my first clients in a few months after I've learned all the tricks of the profession.
It's an exciting time, but still busy. Still, I wanted to leave a mark on Hive. And say hi. I appreciate you all. Some have been reaching out through other means, which I love.
It means that even though I'm not active on the blockchain I'm still part of the community and your hearts.
Thanks a lot for that <3 Let me know what has been up with you!
