Finally leaving Rotterdam to join all Hive Peepz in Amsterdam! I skipped the opening drinks last night due to a headache, studied too intensively I guess, but this morning I read that 90% of attendees had checked in already so I have huge FOMO now.
Drinking a cup of coffee on the train, remembering last trip to ‘Fest’ in Krakow, a totally different experience. As I stay in my own country I save money and add on comfort by not renting a hotel room and sleeping at home. This also means I’ll be traveling to Amsterdam 3 days and will have to keep an eye on the trains as you don’t want to miss the last one and be stuck on the streets of Amsterdam with no place to stay.
I also noticed I didn’t really let go of all my obligations in the Netherlands as HiveFest was so close to home, so that’s a huge difference in mental space this time around as well.
Just some random thoughts from the train - I’m very much looking forward to meeting all my old friends and get to know some new ones as well :-)
