So - did you at some point in the past few months hear of the @steemalliance? It's one of those subjects you have to put some time (reading) into but is very interesting and can potentially do a lot of good for the Steem Community as a whole.
In a very short summary: the Steem Alliance is arranging via a community selected Working Group a collection of proposals for a Steem Foundation. This Foundation might become responsible for some funds we as a community could use to support initiatives (can be anything) on the Steem Blockchain.

Although nothing is guaranteed the initial idea is that Steemit, Inc would put some money in this Foundation. Since this might potentially be a huge sum of money this is where the proposals come in: how should a Foundation that handles funds for the greater good of the Steem Community look like?
So far 11 teams have proposed their ideas. And you can vote which proposal you think is best!
Now, not everyone might feel they have enough knowledge or insight to make the best vote, but if you do, it is very important to know there are only about 5 days left to vote!
I would suggest you do so now and then take some time to read through the proposals. The deadline for registration is April 4th, 2019 11:59 pm UTC - Miss this deadline and you won't be able to influence the future 'shape' of the Foundation. That also means you will have no right to complain if a huge sum of money isn't handled as you think is best :-)
