Community Music Challenge/Party: share some Rock Music in your native language!

I had to dig deep for this one (no, not really, Google and adding Steemit in the keywords is a match made in heaven) since it's almost 9 months ago that I did a music challenge on Steem. I had so much fun and always promised to do it regularly. Well, regularly didn't happen, but I DID decide to do another run!*

What are you talking about?

Nine months ago I asked Steemians to share music in their mother tongue other than English. On Steem English dominates for obvious reasons but the diversity of languages we have on Steem is something beautiful and something that also hides a lot of cultural nuances (treasures!) in our community.

What better way to celebrate this than through language and music?

You can read about the original music challenge here, and listen to the music I collected through that challenge here, but this time I want it to be a little more focused, narrowing the types of music shared down.

Why?

As you will be able to hear through the Steem World Playlist I made the music is kind of all over the place so although I enjoy going back to it to play a few songs I really really liked, it's not an easy/pleasant list to listen to. A pleasant playlist comes from having one genre and enjoying a sample of what that genre has to offer.

So I'm just trying something here, which means this is my new music challenge for Steem:

Share a song in your native language (other than English) that falls under the category 'Rock Music'.

Yes, I know this is a broad category still, look at Wiki how many sub-genres fall under Rock, but I want to narrow it down on the one hand and not make it too hard at the same time. If I learn from this experiment that Rock is too broad of a genre I can choose a more specific sub-genre next time. Also: as music is very cultural and maybe 'rock' didn't really reach your country as a genre please feel free to widen the search a bit. Often some (electric) guitars are involved in rock, and if you're in doubt read about Rock music on the Wiki.

How to join the Music Challenge

  • Pick a favourite Rock Song from your native language
  • Find it on Youtube (preferred as I'll be adding it to a Youtube playlist later)/Soundcloud/Spotify or any other 'open' music service and share the link in the comments, maybe even with some background story why you like it so much - and share the link in the comments

Of course: Write a blog about your piece of music if you want, last time people did this without me asking for it, but reading those blogs was loads of fun!

And don't forget to listen to some other music in the comments :D

I'll kick this challenge off with some Dutch shares:

Racoon is a Dutch band that has some amazing songs in English, but decided to go back to Dutch singing at some point in their career. This is a gorgeous song, but soft rockish, basically a guitar and a voice :-)

Bløf is my favourite Dutch band and mostly sings in Dutch as well. I don't know why I picked this particular song just now, maybe because it's more rockish than some of their more recent music. It's maybe less pleasant to listen to than Racoon if you don't understand Dutch, I feel Racoon is a 'safer' bet to share with non-Dutchies, but I just wanted to include one of my favs anyway :-)

I got a lot of engagement last time, and I hope to see some amazing entries again this time! I was delighted by some of the songs I heard which I sometimes still listen to - so I'm excited to see what you guys come up with this time :D Cheers!

From the last challenge we got all these languages involved: Afrikaans, Cantonese, Chinese/Mandarin, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Flemish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Irish, Philipino, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, Spanish, Slovak, Thai, Ukrainian. Here's a look-back on how it all happened:
