"There's no place like home" - and it's true. But there's such a magical thing about sleeping in a hotel where 2 hours ago someone put on clean white cotton crispy sheets...
I'm a fan of the 'CitizenM' hotel chain where rooms are small but very nice and practical - all locations are very design-y with great view from their windows and iPads that you can use to change the mood (colours of lights and such) of the room. Also, once you've stayed in one of the CitizenM locations you'll feel immediately at home in all the others as well. Making you feel like a true 'traveling Citizen' that has a home everywhere in the world.
So when I was in London and had to pick a place to sleep for one night - I knew already where I would be. They have 'wall to wall' super king size (or whatever) beds that makes you feel extra small - with pillows in abundance as well, so it becomes your temporary most comfortable place in the world.
Honestly, I felt like a kid sleeping all alone in a bed that could fit a whole family.
The iPad in the room is able to pull up and down the curtains and (!) separate blinds - so after I woke up in the morning and was ready for daylight I asked the iPad to show me my view on London - and I had a lovely one on the 'Trinity Square'.
Not bad eh?
Now, this was only a tiny cherry on top of an amazing welcoming stay the nights before at @redrica's place. She was incredibly hospitable sharing her home and the company of her amazing family with me. It is my biggest joy in life to visit 'real places' (for lack of other words) - to really peak into someones life and living and to share stories and life's important treasures with each other.
I believe she lives a beautiful life full of love and I am grateful she was willing to share it with me <3
From time to time I'm humbled by all the good things and amazing people Steem has brought into my life.
