It was a year ago today when my dad was in the hospital for an operation, my family and I waiting for the call to deliver us the good news. And it came :-) The second operation in a short time, but he made it, and a year later we know everything is 'cleared' and there's no bigger chance for him to get The Big C back than anyone else for that matter.
A year ago today it was my birthday, as well, and yes, so it indeed is my birthday today.

I am taking my time writing posts for you guys, don't I?
I've been active in other spaces:
The live one, where I'm doing a study that's progressing faster than I can handle, as the subject matter is complex and the brain is getting older and studying just isn't as easy as it was when I went to university many many years ago.
The virtual one, where I got sucked back into some Ethereum projects, investments, NFTs mostly, which are paying off so nicely that they had to come before my time spent on Hive.
But Hive remains my home base and now the markets are being removed from chasing, Dopamine Highs and never-ending (oh wait, they always DO end! Haha!) all time highs it's time to get back into the comfortable place again of sharing some content here and there - and checking out your writings too.
Soon I will go to MET AMS, a Metaverse event in Amsterdam which I think might be really exciting, and hey, did I hear right that Roeland is thinking of another @hivefest again?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
This year should be the year of reconnecting again. And since I'm a sucker for real-life human contact I might even be more motivated to share some virtual moments again with you all - for me the virtual stuff can't work without the IRL stuff.

The best way for me to break the cycle of not writing is to not judge myself for what I write and just jot some thoughts down. It's not much, but it's something. How have you been doing?
